When you use Clareio, we collect:

• Account information: Email, name, and other details you provide when you sign up or apply for access
• Content you provide: Documents, messages, and other materials you upload or paste into Clareio
• Connected account data (with your permission): When you connect your inbox or other accounts, we access only what is needed to provide the service
• Information about your work: Details you enter or that we extract from your connected accounts
• Public profile data: Public information from social accounts you choose to connect
• Usage and diagnostic data: Information about how you use Clareio, plus technical data when errors occur

How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

• Provide Clareio's features
• Send you notifications relevant to your account
• Improve our product and develop new features
• Diagnose and fix technical issues
• Communicate with you about your account and our services

We never sell your personal data. We never share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

AI Features

Clareio uses artificial intelligence to power several features. When you use these features, your content is processed by our systems and by trusted third-party AI providers under contractual terms that restrict how your data may be used. We do not use your content to train AI models, and the AI providers we work with are contractually prohibited from doing so. AI-generated output may contain errors and should be reviewed before you rely on it.

Email and Inbox Access

When you connect your Gmail account:

• We use secure OAuth, so we never see or store your password
• We have read-only access and cannot send, delete, or modify any emails
• You choose what gets saved into Clareio
• You can revoke access at any time from your account settings

Google API Disclosure

Clareio's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We only use your Gmail data to provide user-facing features within Clareio. We do not transfer your Gmail data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service or as required by law. We do not use your Gmail data for advertising. We do not allow humans to read your Gmail data unless we have your explicit consent, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by law.

Data Security

We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your data. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to user data is strictly limited to authorized personnel. OAuth tokens can be revoked at any time from your account settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

You own your data. You can:

• Export your data
• Delete individual records
• Disconnect any integrated accounts
• Request full deletion of your account and associated data

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from active systems within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers to operate Clareio, including cloud infrastructure, AI providers, a payment processor, and operational tools for monitoring and communications. When you connect an external account, you interact directly with that service through their official authentication system. We share only the minimum information needed for each service to function, under contractual privacy and security commitments.

Cookies and Tracking

Marketing website: Our marketing website does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising analytics.

Application: The Clareio app uses essential cookies required for login and preferences, and basic technical monitoring to help us fix issues.

We never use advertising cookies and we do not sell data to advertisers.

Your Rights (Including California Residents)

We do not sell your personal information. Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to certain processing
• Withdraw consent at any time

Children's Privacy

Clareio is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

Clareio is operated from the United States. If you access Clareio from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Clareio, you consent to this transfer.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the application. Continued use of Clareio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
